2014 Fall Ford Truck Fest

True Blue Trucks Magazine's is proud to welcome you to our Third Annual Fall Ford Truck Fest
September 18-20, 2014
Townsend Tennessee at the Tally Ho Inn
(trailer parking is available)


This will be the third year of True Blue Trucks Magazine's Fall Ford Truck Fest. The weekend's festivities are open to all generations and years of Ford Trucks! (Broncos welcome too - they are Ford trucks!)

Designed to be more than just a show, we have organized family-friendly events, both at the showgrounds and in the area, throughout the weekend. There will be games and contests for the kids, organized sightseeing drives, and much more. There is no better way to have fun with your Truck!

NOTE: The show is been moved to the back side of the Tally Ho to the larger field. Entrance is on the National Park side of the motel, 200 yards from the previous entrance. Now you can see the trucks off the back of your room’s deck! Click here for a map.

The below info is from last year's event to give you an idea of all activities... it will change.

THURSDAY- September 19
6:30pm  Meet-N-Greet - Tally Ho Inn
Donuts and Coffee will be available as well as registration table open.
A fire will be available for those wishing to gathering around and relax. (weather permitting)

FRIDAY - September 20
Friday’s Organized Drives (note: drives subject to change based on road conditions or other National Park restrictions)

9:30am Group Cruise #1 The Dragon
The staff of True Blue Trucks will lead a drive across the Parkway to the base of the famous US 129 Tail of the Dragon. From there the drive will take the challenging 314 turns in 11 miles. Them a stop at the North Carolina side at the 129 Tourist Stop. From there it is 314 turns back to the Parkway for the 25 tranquil mile return trip.
(about 70 miles - 3 hours)

10:30am Group Cruise #2 - Sugarlands Visitors Center.
For those wanted a more relaxing start there will be a group lead down river road to the Sugarlands Visitors center were we will stop at the center for a group picture and let everyone enjoy the center. Then it will be a return trip along the river back to the Talley Ho. This road often has a lot of wildlife.
(about 50 Miles - 2 hours)  

2:30pm Group Cruise #3  Townsend Tour
The staff of True Blue Trucks will lead a peaceful drive around the scenic side of the Smokies. The drive will go down little creek and then into the mountains taking in the Laurel Point golf and bear community, a tour by the Tuckaleechee Caverns, and end at Miss Lilly's Flower Barn. The tranquility and scenery will be majestic.
(about 30 miles - 1 1/2 hours)

6:00pm Free-For-All Southern BBQ Dinner.
Everyone attending the event is welcome! Dinner is courtesy of True Blue Trucks magazine.
After Dinner Music, Bon Fire and more.....

SATURDAY September 21
All trucks must be in by 11:00 to qualify for judging. All Ford trucks and 4 wheel drive vehicles welcome!
For packages A and C make them select on of the (9) Categories to be Judged:

NOTE: All trucks must have a pass to park in the show field. Trucks without passes will be asked to park in the visitors parking lot.

8am - 2:30pm Show-N-Shine
8am- 2:30pm Swap Meet in Vendors Alley

We will have a designated area to sell your used products or you can just set them out by your truck. Great way to find or get rid of those hard to find items.

10am-12pm Kid’s Activities
Organized stuff for the kids.

10am-2:30pm Lunch - Vendors will be on-site to sell food items. Family fair and affordably priced lunches food items will be available from a couple local vendors.

2:30pm Show-N-Shine Awards

2:45pm Product Raffle
Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be used to win great products.

3:30pm Group Cruise #4 - Cades Cove
A customary Saturday cruise takes a pleasant trip back in time as we take our trucks on a drive though the scenic Cades Cove. Explores the area’s past on the trip around the historical settlement of years gone by. There is lots of wildlife too. Last year we saw over five black bears!
(about 25 miles - 2 hours)

7pm Bon Voyage Bon Fire
Sit around and relax, grill, or just take in the fresh mountain air with friends.
